I finally tried the bus instead of my bike on a rainy day
My usual 25 minute bike ride to work turned into a wet mess last Tuesday. I gave up halfway and hopped on the number 7 bus instead. The bus was warm, I stayed dry, and it only took 35 minutes total with the wait. Has anyone else found a better way to commute when the weather gets bad?

It's funny how the worst weather can force us into a better routine. My neighbor switched to the bus after a flat tire in a downpour and now she takes it every Friday, says it's her built-in planning time. We get stuck in our ways until something breaks the pattern.

That warm bus on a rainy day is the best feeling lol. I had a similar thing last winter when my car wouldn't start. I ended up taking the train and just zoning out with a podcast instead of white-knuckling it in sleet. It was weirdly peaceful, like a forced break. Now I almost look forward to bad weather as an excuse to take the easy way.
