Can we talk about the guy who brought a full breakfast on the bus?

So I'm on the 7am route downtown in Austin last Tuesday, right. This dude gets on with a whole plate of scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast, no joke. He sat down and started eating with a fork like it was a restaurant. It took him 15 minutes to finish while the bus was packed and people are dodging his elbows. Has anyone else seen someone treat public transit like a diner?

Honestly, the real question here is was he at least eating off an actual plate or was it one of those sad paper plates that folds in half mid-bite? Tbh, I've seen people eat tacos on the bus but never a full plate of bacon and eggs with a fork like some kind of power move. Ngl, I'm kind of impressed he committed to the whole bit with utensils and everything instead of just shoving it in his face. What gets me is, did he bring the plate from home or did he smuggle it out of a breakfast place?

But hold on, what if the plate was the whole point? Like maybe it's a statement about refusing to let public transit dictate your dining standards, you know? He could have brought that plate from home specifically to prove a point that breakfast is a sit-down experience no matter where you are. Honestly, I respect the dedication it takes to balance a ceramic plate on a bus seat while navigating potholes and sudden stops.

That's a good point about the plate, but I think everyone's missing something obvious. A ceramic plate on a bumpy bus is a risky move for anyone, but what if he was actually trying to prove a point to himself, like a weird personal challenge? Maybe he lost a bet or is doing some kind of "eat breakfast in weird places every day" thing for a month. I saw a guy in Seattle last year eating a full salad out of a mixing bowl on the light rail, and it turned out it was part of a comedy bit he was filming. Could be this guy is trying to do something similar, like one-upping all the people who just scarf down a granola bar on their commute.
