Rant: My morning brew used to be instant, now it's a whole ritual
Five years ago, I'd just boil water and dump a spoonful of powder. Now I weigh 18 grams of beans, use a gooseneck kettle, and time a 3-minute pour-over. It started after a trip to Portland where I had a cup that actually tasted like fruit, not just burnt water. Anyone else get sucked in this deep over time?

So what's the one piece of gear that really took over your space, @claire_hart53? I swear my pour over setup and scale have claimed permanent residence. It starts with one thing and then you're suddenly weighing beans and timing shots.
