Rant: Bought a $50 coffee subscription that sent me stale beans for three months straight
I signed up for a new roaster's subscription last fall, thinking it would be a fun way to try new stuff. Every single bag they sent had a roast date from over a month prior, and the coffee tasted flat and dull. I kept giving them another chance, but after the third bag, I just canceled. Has anyone found a subscription that actually sends fresh coffee consistently?

Ugh that's the worst, I had the exact same problem with a different company. I finally switched to a local roaster that does subscriptions, and they ship the same day they roast. The coffee tastes so much better, and it's not even more expensive. I'd say just skip the big online ones and find a good local spot that cares about their product.

Yeah @christopher943 is totally right. I waited three weeks for my last bag from a big name place and it was stale when it got here. Found a local guy who roasts on Tuesdays and ships that afternoon, it's a total game changer.

Totally agree with @christopher943. I did the same thing last year and the difference is night and day.
