I used to think my 'green' electric car was enough, but a friend pointed out I still fly to Florida every winter.

Yeah, that's the fun part about trying to be good... my one long flight probably wipes out my whole year of recycling.

Got stuck in that same guilt loop a while back. Felt like nothing I did mattered if I messed up once. What helped me was just picking one thing I could actually keep up with, like cutting plastic bags, and letting that be enough. Stopped trying to score every single choice and just focused on that one habit. It made the whole thing feel less like a math test I was failing.

That whole "wipes out" thing feels off. A flight has a set carbon cost. Recycling reduces waste. They're different systems. It's not like one good act cancels the other. The math just isn't that simple. Feels like a guilt trip for trying.
