My sister-in-law, a realtor, called our work 'just cleaning a tube' over dinner in Charlotte.
She argued it's a simple service anyone could do, but I said spotting a cracked flue liner or improper clearance takes a trained eye. Do you think the public truly gets what we're checking for beyond soot?

It's a full safety inspection, not just cleaning.

Wait, a full safety inspection? That's way more than I expected. I took my car in last month and they literally just vacuumed it and wiped the dash. They didn't even look at the tires. If they're actually checking recalls and brakes, that's a whole different service.
