Told my boss stretch is overrated and he made me redo a whole room - he was right

Last month I was doing a 12x15 bedroom in that new nylon carpet from Shaw. I always stretch just enough so it looks flat, never really crank it. My boss watched me finish and said "that's gonna buckle in 6 months." I told him my method works fine. He made me pull it all up and re-stretch it way tighter than I ever do. Thing is, it laid down perfectly flat with zero wrinkles and honestly felt way better underfoot. Been doing it his way ever since. Anybody else fight their boss on something dumb and later realize they were just being stubborn?

Right after I swore up and down my way of loading a dishwasher was faster and the dishes would still come out clean. Spent an extra 20 minutes reracking everything with my tail between my legs.

Goodness, that's quite a story! I can't believe he made you pull up an entire room, that's a lot of work just to prove a point. But I suppose it's better to learn that lesson on a 12x15 bedroom than on a much bigger job later on.

Doesn't that always seem to happen right when you're the most confident about something? @the_joseph at least you only wasted 20 minutes, not a whole day like that flooring guy did.
