Took a temp job at a doggy daycare for 3 months and it totally shifted how I think about workplace culture

I tried working there after my morning grooming shift, just to make extra cash, and noticed the managers spent more time praising the dogs than the employees. By week two, turnover was obvious and nobody bothered learning my name until I quit. Has anyone else had a side gig change how they view their main career?

Did you notice if the dogs got better treatment than the people too?

Yeah, I noticed that too. The dogs seemed to get more attention than the people did, which just feels wrong on every level.
