Why I stopped signing contracts without a 3-day review period

A client at a groom expo in Kansas City handed me a 6-page lease that turned out to have an automatic renewal clause buried on page 5. Now I make myself wait 72 hours before signing anything and I've dodged two bad deals that way. Anybody else found hidden clauses that almost cost you thousands?

That hidden auto renewal bit is sneaky but watch out for non compete clauses in random agreements too.

And that's exactly what makes these things so dangerous, @the_william. They turn up in everything from phone contracts to gym memberships, just hidden in the fine print hoping you won't read it. You really gotta treat every agreement like it's trying to screw you, because odds are it is.
