Just caught a vendor trying to sneak an auto-renewal clause past me
I was reviewing a service agreement last week for my small shop here in Denver and noticed a tiny paragraph buried on page 6. It said the contract would auto-renew unless I gave 60 days notice. The sales guy never mentioned it once. I've been in business for 3 years and this is the third time I've found something like this hiding in plain sight. How many of you check every single page of every contract you sign?

Got a neighbor who signed up for what he thought was a monthly software subscription and ended up locked into a whole year because he didn't read the fine print. Now he triple checks everything before he puts his name on it.

A friend of mine runs a landscaping business and almost got bit by the same thing last spring. He caught it two days before the deadline and had to send a certified letter to get out of it. Now he reads every single page like a hawk.

Yeah @janarivera, that's the thing about fine print these days. It's like every business is trying to trap you in something you didn't agree to.
