I was tracking my mood wrong for like 8 months before I saw a post about it
Honestly, I always did a little color coded dot in my bullet journal for how I felt each day. But last week I read someone saying you should log the mood at a specific time, not just the whole day. That blew my mind because my mornings are chill but after work I'm totally fried. Has anyone else tried time specific mood tracking and did it help you notice patterns?

Oh man, that's a solid point. It's like when you think you're always tired but really it's just after 3pm when you hit that slump at work. Same thing with my sleep - I used to think I was a night owl until I realized I was just avoiding going to bed because I was doomscrolling. That time specific thing makes so much sense because your whole day is just a blur otherwise. Have you tried it for a week and noticed any big shifts?

You ever hear about that study where they asked people to rate their happiness at random times versus at the end of the day? Totally different results. I tried logging at 2pm sharp every day and realized my "bad days" were really just bad afternoons.

It is amazing how much the time of day messes with your head. I started doing the same thing but using a simple scale from 1 to 10 right after lunch when I found myself crashing. Learned that most of my "bad days" were just post-lunch energy drops and hunger. @theagibson is onto something with that 2pm thing, it is a real game changer once you stop lumping the whole day together.
