A guy at the farmers market in Spokane said my kraut was 'too clean'

That comment about style over quality is mostly right... but clean ferments aren't just about taste. A really clean, crisp kraut means you controlled the temperature and salt well. It's a sign of a good process, not a lack of flavor. My last batch was super clean, but it had a sharp, bright sour punch that was perfect for hot dogs. Funk isn't the only goal.

Serious question, is hand-dipping candles actually better than using modern molds?

But what's the point of calling them "serious" if they're just candles? Feels like they're trying too hard to make it a big deal. It's just a basic thing with fancy words.

My new phone's camera totally ruined a trip to the Grand Canyon

Ugh, that's the worst! I get what @faith_king is saying about photos looking good online, but there's a line. When a camera makes a peaceful gray dusk sky look like a crazy electric purple, it's not an upgrade. It totally kills the memory of actually being there. My friend's phone did that to our lake photos last summer, turned the calm water into weird, bright blue slime. Sometimes you just want the real moment, not a cartoon.

My entire art show file got corrupted right before the upload deadline

Honestly, I'm gonna go the other way. That backup from three days ago saved you, so the system kind of worked. Relying on one main file is the real problem, not how often you save. I just make a whole new save file with a new name for each big session, like 'project_v2', 'project_v3'. It takes two seconds and then you have a whole timeline to go back to. Corrupt files happen, but losing days of work doesn't have to.

Spent $400 on a financial advisor and it was the WORST mistake. Everyone says you need one but mine just gave me generic advice I could find online.

Yeah, that's the big problem with a lot of them. They just run your numbers through a basic software and hand you a cookie-cutter plan. You're basically paying for someone to Google "retirement savings" for you. You really need someone who digs into your specific debts, goals, and risk comfort, not just spits out general rules.
