Serious question, why did nobody tell me about YNAB's import lag?

I spent 3 hours last Saturday manually categorizing all my August expenses because I didn't realize YNAB takes 2-3 days to pull in transactions from my credit union. Then I found out if I just link accounts it would do half the work for me. How long did it take you guys to realize the auto-import isn't instant?

Three weeks... that's how long it took me to figure out the import lag. I was sitting there one Saturday manually entering every single coffee and gas station charge from my bank statement because I thought the app was broken or something. Then my friend who's been using YNAB for years just casually says "oh yeah the auto import takes a few days, it's not instant" like it was obvious. I felt like such a dummy after spending probably 4 hours total on manual entries that first month. The funny part is I probably looked at the "linked accounts" setup three separate times and decided it looked too complicated to mess with.

Always thought manual entry was the point, @the_nathan totally changed my view on that.

@the_nathan actually the transactions from linked accounts usually hit within 1-2 days, not 2-3.
