Just realized I spent almost $400 on coffee last year without noticing

I was scrolling through my bank statements from 2023 and added up all those random coffee shop runs. Turns out I dropped $372 just on drip coffee and the occasional latte, which is wild because I always thought I was being careful. Has anyone else done the math on a habit that snuck up on them?

My local shop charges $4.50 for a medium latte and I go there like 4 times a week, so that adds up to around $900 a year before I even think about tipping. I did the math once while waiting in line and almost choked on my drink. The real kicker was realizing I could buy a nice espresso machine for that amount and make way better coffee at home. Now I just grab a bag of beans from the grocery store and it costs me maybe $15 a month instead.
