Met a guy in a Prague hostel who showed me his whole trip was planned around free walking tours

He said he'd been traveling for three weeks across Europe and only paid for food and a bed, because every city had at least one free tour you just tip for. I watched him map out his next three stops using just that idea, and it made me wonder if anyone else builds their whole trip around a single cheap trick like that?

Yeah that's basically how I did my first solo trip to Spain. Found out every museum had a free entry day, usually Sunday afternoons. I just planned my whole week around being in a city for that one free day, saved a fortune on tickets.
