Showerthought: My back doesn't hurt since I adjusted my chair height.
I spent years with back pain from hunching over my workbench. Raising my chair just a few inches changed everything for my posture.

Ugh, the neck strain from a low monitor is the worst. I had that exact thing, where you're just tilting your head down all day without even noticing. It's crazy how you can just live with that ache for ages before it clicks. I totally get measuring the elbow thing now too, it seems so simple once you know. It's wild how the fix is often right there but we just don't see it.

Standard chair height ranges from 16 to 21 inches, but that's useless if your desk is wrong. After hearing about elbow measurements, I'm curious: what other tiny adjustments made a big difference for you? Like, did you change your keyboard tilt or monitor angle too? It's funny how we'll sit in pain for months before trying something simple. Do you think it's just habit, or is there a mental block about fixing our workspaces?

My desk at the last job was a solid inch too low for standard chairs. I had constant neck strain from looking down at my monitors all day. It took a new boss pointing it out before I even thought to check the chair height. Turns out, ergonomics isn't just a word they use in office safety videos. Now I measure the gap between my elbows and the desk like it's a religious ritual. Saves a fortune on painkillers, too.
