Vent: The old break room microwave used to see more action than some of our test gear.
Back in the day, we'd all gather around it for a hot meal on long shifts, but now everyone just grabs something quick from the vending machine.

Ugh, you're so right. That old microwave had a whole routine. The smell of burnt popcorn at 2 PM, the line for the frozen dinners at lunch, the condensation on the window from someone's leftover soup. Now it's just a sad countertop appliance next to a pile of cold sandwich wrappers and protein bar trash. The whole social part of taking a break is just gone.

Wow, I totally used to feel exactly like Sandra_flores85 about this. I really missed that whole weird microwave waiting area vibe (it felt like forced office fun). But reading these replies, I get it now. That line was mostly just dead time, and grabbing a protein bar at my desk let me actually finish a funny story with my coworker yesterday without getting interrupted. The social part just moved.

Actually, @sandra_flores85, I see it another way. That microwave line often felt like wasted time, just staring at spinning food. Now people grab quick bites and have real chats at their desks or in the break room without the rush. Like yesterday, three of us shared stories over protein bars without that annoying beeping every two minutes. The social stuff didn't leave, it just got less about waiting and more about talking. Even the quiet lunch bunch seems happier without the smell of burnt popcorn.
