Question about using a 2K clearcoat on every repair
A painter from a shop in Tacoma told me my single-stage jobs looked cheap and would fade fast. I switched to a 2K system for everything, even small fixes, and the durability difference is huge. Do you think the extra cost and setup time is always worth it?

Man, this is everywhere. You see it with tools, cooking gear, even shoes. People buy the cheap version first, it breaks or wears out fast, and then they finally get the good stuff. That extra cost up front feels painful, but it always saves money and hassle later. I've learned the hard way that cutting corners just means doing the job twice.

Yeah, that extra time is just part of doing it right now.

Wait, you're telling me people actually buy the cheap shoes on purpose? That's just asking for blisters and a sad wallet. I made that mistake once with some bargain hiking boots and my feet hated me for months. Never again, the good pair is still going strong five years later. It's like paying a little more to avoid your own future suffering.
