inWhy does nobody talk about foremen pushing for fast, messy installs?
Ugh, my friend's boss did that and it still haunts him, @logan169.

inCloudy finish appeared on my oak desk after varnishing
Well, your desk decided to get its own weather system. That cloudy finish is like a permanent fog machine for your paperwork. Probably mixed the varnish with wishful thinking instead of proper technique. Now you've got a piece of furniture that's always ready for a gloomy day. Good luck convincing it to clear up.

inPSA: Plastic waste scandals on island reality shows are total hypocrisy
That detail about a full dumpster every three days is just wild to me! You're telling me they fill a huge trash container that fast with just bottles and wrappers? It completely wrecks the whole idea of the show being some pure survival lesson. They're not living off the land at all, they're just creating a hidden garbage problem for some other town. The fake drama about conserving a single resource on camera is such a bad joke when you know what's happening off screen. It makes the whole message feel totally empty.

inI used to roll my eyes at security keys, but not anymore
Ugh that's terrifying after what patriciam51 said about PayPal. My motion sensor lights went off at 3am once and I nearly had a heart attack.

inI kept my holiday lights up year round and it's better for my mindset
A blog I read last year talked about how Scandinavians use light to fight the winter gloom (they call it "hygge" and all that). It made me realize those rules about seasonal decor are pretty made up. My fairy lights are plugged in right now, actually. They just make my tiny apartment feel like a calm little nest, not a messy one. If the soft glow works for you, that's the only rule that matters. Packing them away seems like extra work for no real payoff.
