Rant: That fussy chronograph reset is finally smooth.

A careful cleaning of the pusher part made all the difference.

Speaking of finicky fixes, my old game controller D-pad just clicked back.

Heard that old D-pads often fail because the rubber contact sheet degrades. Read a repair guide that said the click comes from a broken pivot inside. They mentioned using a small amount of grease on the plastic parts to smooth it out. But if the dome has collapsed, no fix will last long. It's why so many old controllers end up in drawers. You need steady hands and good light to even attempt it.

Replacing the rubber sheet often fixes it for good. Even a collapsed dome can be swapped out with new parts.
