Had a punch snap right away. Some blame the steel grade, others say my press was off. What do you think?

Wait, nobody is even talking about the steel itself? That stuff can be way too brittle straight from the supplier. A bad batch will snap no matter how perfect your press is.

Ugh, check your press alignment first.

Seriously, @thomask22 is right about alignment. I fixed mine last month by checking it twice before running anything.
