Truss rod slack mimicked bad fret buzz on a client's acoustic
A simple turn with the wrench cleared it up and saved a full setup, in my experience.

Watched a loose bridge pin cause similar buzz on a Gibson.

Funny thing about those bridge pins, they can get overlooked because everyone's so focused on the saddle or nut when chasing buzz. The pin is basically the last thing holding the string down before it hits the bridge plate, so a tiny bit of play there kills the transfer of energy (which sounds like a rattle instead of a note). Makes you wonder how many setups get complicated when the fix is literally just seating a piece of plastic.

My old Yamaha had the same thing last year. Quick quarter turn fix, just like you said.

Funny how so many guitar problems come down to tiny adjustments. That loose pin @blairh96 mentioned is the same deal, just a different spot. It's like the whole instrument is held together by these little bits that need a nudge. See it everywhere, not just guitars. Most things making noise or acting up just need one specific thing tightened or loosened. We look for big complicated fixes when the answer is usually a quarter turn somewhere.
