TIL my old phone battery hit 900 charge cycles

I was checking the stats on my three year old phone and it said the battery had gone through 900 full charge cycles. The thing still holds a charge for most of a day, which really surprised me. I guess all those 'don't charge it overnight' tips I ignored didn't matter much. Has anyone else seen a battery last this long on a daily driver?

Honestly that's a real win for just using stuff normally. Makes you wonder how much battery advice is just noise. @taylor_park75 has a point about the brick, but heat is the real killer. Most people wreck batteries by leaving phones in hot cars or gaming while charging. Your luck probably came from just not cooking the thing daily.

Wow, that's actually crazy good! My last phone's battery was basically useless after like 500 cycles. You must have gotten a really solid unit, or maybe just never let it get super hot.

Could be the charging brick too, @the_nathan. Some of the fast ones seem to cook the battery over time.
