Bought a cheap tablet stand from a gas station in Phoenix, figured it would be junk.
It was only $8 and felt flimsy. Used it for a month now and it hasn't wobbled once, even with my heavy 12.9 inch iPad Pro on it. Anyone else have a random budget gadget that's held up way better than expected?

Wasn't there a whole article a while back about those no-name power banks from sketchy electronics kiosks? Some tech writer bought one on a dare and it outlasted his fancy brand name one... The charging speed was slow, but the battery inside just wouldn't quit. Makes you realize sometimes you're just paying for the logo and the fancy box.

Read a forum post about a guy who bought a cheap multi-tool at a truck stop. Thing looked like it would fall apart in a week. He's had it for years now, uses it for all sorts of odd jobs and it just keeps working. Makes you wonder where they cut corners to hit that price.
