Am I the only one who had their whole 'good neighbor' vibe wrecked by a single trip to the hardware store?
I was in the checkout line at the local Ace last week, and the guy behind me, seeing my cart full of mulch, said 'You know, that stuff's just gonna wash right down the hill if you don't put down a barrier first.' I've been overthinking every single yard project since. Has a random comment from a stranger ever completely stalled you out on a simple task?

Totally get that. Had a guy at the garden center tell me my new potting soil was "basically just expensive dirt" for the plants I was buying. I stood there frozen, put everything back, and went home empty-handed. Now I second-guess every bag I pick up. It's crazy how one offhand comment from someone who seems sure of themselves can just ruin your whole plan.

My buddy Steve bought a new grill last summer. Some neighbor walked by and said it looked cheap, like it would fall apart in a year. Steve returned it that same day. He's been using his tiny old one ever since, even though he really wanted the big one. It's wild how a random person's opinion can just stop you in your tracks like that. Makes you doubt your own choices.
