A client straight up told me my $2k project proposals were 'confusing and scary', so I switched to a simple one-page outline with bullet points.
Has anyone else had to totally redo their proposal format because a client was honest enough to say they didn't get it?

Honestly, that's a really good wake-up call... I'm curious, what was in the old proposals that made them so overwhelming? Were they just packed with jargon and dense paragraphs, or was it something about the pricing breakdown that felt intense?

Actually it was the endless bullet points (like, pages of them).
