inMy French press cracked right down the middle this morning
Honestly I wonder if the REAL issue is the temperature shock from washing it with cold water right after brewing. I used to do that ALL the time and went through three presses in a year before I figured it out. Let it cool down completely before you even THINK about rinsing it, the glass is way more fragile when it's hot.

inSwitched my monitor arm from gas spring to a simple pole mount
You ever try cranking the tension before the sagging became a problem? I keep mine just tight enough to hold at rest but loose enough to move by hand, never had a sag issue doing it that way.

inTook me 6 months to realize I was sharpening my chisels backwards
Flip the stone around and try sharpening with the other side up next time.

inIs hand folding dumpling wrappers really worth the extra hour?
Oh man @miles_young59, you're asking the wrong person about dough science lol I barely measure anything half the time, just dump flour and water in a bowl and pray it works out. My pasta roller is still in the box from Christmas two years ago so I just use a wine bottle to flatten stuff out.

inThe big solar farm near my town went up 3 years ago and now I'm seeing a local river come back
You're onto something real. The shade and reduced evaporation are proven to help with water retention in dry areas. I've seen studies from the Department of Energy showing solar farms can actually recharge groundwater in desert regions. The bigger risk is if they used cheap materials that leach chemicals into the soil over time, but most proper installations use sealed panels and gravel beds now. Texas has a few examples where solar farms brought back seasonal streams nobody thought would flow again.
