Serious question, is anyone else's real estate agent ghosting them after the offer?
I put an offer on a small house in Greenville three days ago and my agent hasn't answered a single text since. She was super friendly before I signed the paperwork, now it's total silence. Has anyone else dealt with an agent going quiet right after you submit an offer? I'm starting to worry I picked the wrong person for my first buy.

Oh my goodness, that is so frustrating and I feel for you. A good agent should be keeping you in the loop, especially right after an offer goes in when you're nervous. That silence would worry me too, and I'd be tempted to call the office to just check in.

Start by saying not all agents are like that. Some agents actually tell you upfront they prefer to wait for the seller's response before bugging you with every little update. Like, my last agent told me she'd only call if there was news, and honestly I appreciated not getting a text every hour about nothing. But I get how the silence can feel like they forgot about you, especially if they didn't set that expectation from the start. Did your agent ever say how often they'd check in, or did they just go quiet?

Ugh, I've been there too and it's the worst feeling when you're just sitting around waiting. What I always tell people is to ask for a specific timeline upfront, like "just text me once a day even if there's nothing new" so you're not left guessing. A quick "no news yet" text takes two seconds and saves everyone a ton of anxiety.
