Pro tip: stopped losing my keys after I got a magnetic hook by the door

I spent 15 minutes every morning digging through bags and couch cushions for my keys. Drove me nuts for like 2 years. Then I grabbed a $3 magnetic hook from Ace Hardware and stuck it right by the front door. Now I clip my keys there the second I walk in. Has anyone else tried dumb cheap fix like this for a daily annoyance?

Wait, doesn't sticking a hook right there just make your keys super obvious to anyone walking past your front door? I'd rather keep digging through my junk drawers than risk someone just grabbing them.
