Picked the self-checkout over the cashier line and it backfired hard

Was at the grocery store yesterday with just 3 items. Self-checkout looked faster so I went there. Turns out the scale kept erroring out on my bag of oranges because they were too light. Took me 4 minutes to get a cashier to override it while the regular line cleared 2 people. Has anyone else had the self-checkout betray you like that?

Oh man, seriously! The cashier rolled her eyes so hard I thought they'd get stuck, and she just pointed at the sign like I was supposed to already know.

Nah I kinda get why the cashier was annoyed though. Those signs are usually pretty clear for a reason (even if they're easy to miss). Bet she's had to explain it like a hundred times that day alone.
