Had a client in my chair who used a new 'miracle' cream from a mall kiosk

It was a Tuesday morning, and her skin was so red and tight I could see the inflammation before I even touched it. She said the salesperson told her it was 'medical grade' and would fix her rosacea in a week. I spent the whole 60-minute facial just trying to calm her skin down with cool aloe gel and a gentle enzyme peel. How do you guys handle clients who come in with damage from stuff they bought off the shelf?

Ugh, mall kiosk products are the worst. Had a client with chemical burns from a "peel" she bought at one.

Yeah, those kiosks are a menace. I once got talked into a "free sample" of a face cream that made my skin feel like it was wrapped in plastic wrap for two days. I looked so shiny and tight, I could have doubled as a museum mannequin. Lesson learned the hard way, just like your client. It's scary how they push that stuff with zero training or real info.

But what if some kiosk people actually know their stuff, @parker_price?
