Overheard a neighbor say cardinals don't visit feeders with too much activity

My neighbor was on her porch telling someone that cardinals are too shy for busy feeders, but I've got like 4 cardinals hitting mine every morning at 6:30 AM right when the finches and chickadees are going nuts. Made me wonder if she's just got a bad feeder spot or something, has anyone else had cardinals show up even when it's chaos?

Read somewhere cardinals are just picky about feeder design, not noise.

Used to think the same thing honestly, I had my feeder tucked way back in a quiet corner thinking that's what cardinals wanted. Then I moved it to a spot right next to all the chaos, finches fighting and chickadees dive bombing each other, and boom, a pair of cardinals showed up within a week. They don't seem bothered at all, they just kind of wait their turn on the edge and hop in when there's a gap. Makes me wonder if they actually prefer having all that noise around because it means predators aren't sneaking up. You ever try putting a second feeder close by just for them?

My sister put hers by a basketball hoop and the cardinals showed up the same day.
