Spent $40 on a 'precision' eraser shield and it just shredded my vellum

I mean, it was supposed to help with tiny details, but the metal edge was so sharp it just carved a trench. Anyone have a brand that doesn't act like a tiny cheese grater?

Try a plastic one instead, they're way more forgiving on vellum. Ever tried sanding the metal edge down a bit first?

Yeah, sanding the metal edge is a total game changer. I did that with my old one and it stopped tearing through the paper so much. Makes a huge difference for sure.
