My uncle Frank is a mechanic and he swears by bar soap for getting a tight seal on a spark plug. It's wild how much random household stuff has a second use. I saw a guy on YouTube fix a stripped screw with a rubber band. It feels like we're all slowly rediscovering these old school hacks because the "right" tool or product is either too expensive or just not around when you need it.

That "old school hacks" thing is so true, it's like we're all becoming our grandpas. @beth_reed, I'm half expecting the mayo tire fix video to drop any day now. Honestly, the best tool is often just whatever weird thing you already have that works.

Wait, are we just gonna start fixing everything with stuff from the kitchen? Next thing you know, someone's gonna tell me mayo works on a flat tire.
