Finally figured out my hotspot setup in a coffee shop in Chiang Mai

Was working from a cramped table at a cafe near the Night Bazaar and my tethering kept dropping every 20 minutes. Switched to a GL.iNet travel router plugged into a local SIM card and haven't had a single disconnect in two weeks. Anyone else deal with spotty cafe wifi and find a workaround?

Read a review that said those little routers are bulletproof for travel.

Totally agree, "game changers" is right. I used one in a hotel last month and it turned the crappy lobby wifi into something I could actually stream from.
