Was skeptical about those brush packs claiming "realistic oil texture" in Procreate

Downloaded a $15 set from an artist I'd never heard of and it actually mimics thick paint strokes way better than the default brushes. Has anyone else found a texture pack that changed how they approach digital painting?

That "layering colors like I'm actually pushing paint around on canvas" part really got me. I spent two hours last night just playing with a brush set I got for free during some random sale, and I kept layering the same spots over and over because it actually felt like real oil paint instead of just smearing pixels around. Ended up with this weird accidental texture that looked way better than my actual planned painting.

Picked up a set called "Oil Masters" from some creator on Gumroad last month and it totally changed my workflow. The way the paint blends and holds an edge in those brushes is insane compared to the factory defaults. I used to avoid thick impasto looks because it always came out flat, but now I'm layering colors like I'm actually pushing paint around on canvas. Definitely worth the money if you find the right pack.
