Vent: Walked into a cybersecurity vendor booth at a small conference and it was all buzzwords, no substance

I went to a regional IT conference in Cleveland last month and stopped by a new security vendor's booth. The guy handed me a brochure with 'AI-driven zero-trust quantum-ready protection' on the cover. When I asked what exactly their tool does differently for phishing prevention, he just repeated the same marketing line. Has anyone else been to these shows where the reps can't even explain their own product in plain terms?

Jokes on me, I once spent 10 minutes nodding along to a sales pitch before realizing I was at the wrong vendor's booth entirely. Makes you wonder if they even know what buzzwords are in their own brochure half the time. At least you got a free stress ball out of it, right?

Used to roll my eyes at complaints like this but you're right, they can't actually explain what they sell.
