Dropped $85 on a "prompt journal" from an Etsy shop in Savannah and it sat blank for 5 months
I bought this hand-bound leather journal last year because the listing said it had 200 story starters and would "unlock my voice." Turns out half the prompts were just single words like "rain" and "clock," and the other half were the same 12 ideas reprinted. I flipped through it once, wrote two lines, and it's been holding up a stack of old paint swatches on my desk ever since. What do you all actually use when you want a prompt, free lists, a random word generator, or do you just pull from stuff that happened to you that week?

Used to think I needed a book for prompts but now I just use whatever I saw that day.
