Picked manual leveling over auto leveling on my Grove RT and got some heat for it

Everyone I work with swears by the auto leveling systems but I prefer doing it by hand with the bubble vials. Took a few extra minutes on a job in Houston last month but I didn't have to fight any sensor glitches. Anyone else stick with the old way?

Yeah, there's a lot of stuff in life that works great until it doesn't, like how people ditch their flip phones for smartphones then get mad when the battery dies at noon, I totally get where you're coming from. And @harpery47 probably just mixed up a brand name, happens all the time with all the different equipment out there.

You ever notice how the bubble vials on those old Grove cranes never seem to fog up or get condensation inside them? I swear the newer digital leveling screens always act up when you least expect it, like right when you're trying to set a beam on a tight spot. My buddy had his auto system go haywire last summer on a job in Baton Rouge, ended up having to call a tech out to reset the whole thing while we just sat there. I get why people like the convenience of auto leveling, but sometimes old school just works without the headache.

Hold up, Grove never made cranes. You're thinking of someone else.
