I used to plant flowers EVERYWHERE until a friend called it a nightmare

I had this island in Animal Crossing where I went absolutely NUTS with flowers. Like I had every color tulip and hyacinth crammed into every open space. I was so proud of it but my friend came over and said my island looked like a weedy mess and she could barely walk anywhere. She told me to pick like 4 flower types max and keep them in specific zones. I was honestly a little mad at first but I tried it. Now my island has a rose garden area and a lily pond area and everything else is paths or open grass. It feels way more cozy and I can actually find my fossils now. Has anyone else gotten feedback like this that totally changed how you decorate your cozy game space?

@logan_ellis had the right idea - dig up half and watch your island breathe again.

My tulips took over my entire beach front before I finally caved and dug half of them up. Couldn't even see the sand anymore, just a wall of pink and orange. Friend told me it looked like a floral explosion and I was kinda offended but she was right. Now I keep my flowers in just two small gardens and suddenly I can actually walk through my own island without diving through petals. Funny how a little restraint makes the whole place feel bigger.

Oh man, that whole "too many flowers" thing hits close to home... My New Leaf town had flowers on flowers on flowers until I literally couldn't see the ground anymore. A friend just quietly handed me a shovel and asked if I wanted to clean up a bit, which was her nice way of saying my town was a mess. Now I have one small garden area and the rest is just empty space and it honestly looks better.
