I was wrong about cable trays... they actually look good

For like two years I had this messy bundle of cords under my desk held together with twist ties and it drove me crazy but I thought those cable trays were just ugly metal boxes... Then I saw a friend's setup in Portland where she had this white tray painted to match her desk legs and it was totally invisible from where I sat. I spent $18 on one from a local hardware store and installed it last Sunday, now all my power strips and cables just disappear underneath. Has anyone else tried painting their cable management stuff to match their furniture?

Painted mine flat black and now they just blend into the desk legs.
