I used to build forts with big heavy quilts and now I only use thin cotton sheets

For years I piled on thick comforters for my reading nooks, thinking more weight meant cozier. Then last winter I tried a light cotton sheet draped over two chairs and it let in just enough light to read by. Has anyone else found that lighter materials actually make a better fort for daytime use?

I was the same way, I used to pile on these heavy wool blankets from my grandma and thought that was the only way to go. But then I tried a light percale sheet over a few chair backs last summer and it was way better for daytime reading, let in way more light than I expected. Honestly changed my mind completely about what makes a good fort.

Have you tried a mosquito net yet? Total game changer for airflow.
