Drained $150 into a 'remote viewing' course before I realized I was just doing meditation

The final straw was when the 'master' charged me another $75 for a custom audio track that was literally a youtube rain sound with a 40hz hum, anyone else ever paid for a 'secret' version of something you already get for free?

And it's not just this stuff, it's everywhere once you start looking, like paying extra for "artisan" bread that's basically the same flour and water as the cheap loaf, or "premium" gas when your car runs fine on regular. It's like we're all secretly buying the feeling of being in on something, not the thing itself, and these guys just figured out how to bottle that feeling and sell it back to us. The real kicker is that the free version often works just as well, but the paid one makes you pay attention to it, which is half the battle anyway.

Wow, that's brutal. I mean, the 40hz hum on top of rain sounds is basically just the free "brown noise" playlist I've been falling asleep to for years. It's wild how these guys package up stuff you can find in five minutes and call it "advanced training material." Honestly though, the whole remote viewing thing feels like it's 90% placebo and 10% people who are really good at noticing patterns in their own thoughts. The sad part is, you probably got more out of the meditation part than the "viewing" part, since at least that's a real skill with actual benefits. Idk, maybe the real secret is that the only thing you're paying for is the permission to feel like you're doing something special.
