Rant: The foreman who told me to 'just make it work' on a wet slab

I was pouring a 40 yard slab for a warehouse floor outside Dayton last June and it started raining halfway through. The foreman just stood there and said 'figure it out, you're the finisher' while I'm trying to tarp the fresh concrete and keep the edges from washing out. Has anyone else had a boss who gives zero help when the weather turns?

Figure it out, you're the finisher" - yeah, because nothing says "I support my crew" like throwing them to the wolves while you stand there dry as a bone under your hoodie. I'm pretty sure that foreman's secret superpower is finding the nearest dry spot to spectate. Did he at least offer you a tarp for your own head while you were back there doing the work of three people? I bet he also left early to "check on the next job" while you were still out there praying the concrete wouldn't turn into a muddy lake. Some people really think a title means you're above getting your hands dirty, but in reality it just means you're the one who should be grabbing a shovel first.

Wet concrete and dry bosses. Name a worse combo.

Three guys for a six man crew, @the_tessa? That's brutal.
