Took me 4 hours to fix a hose clamp that should've been a 10 minute job

Was swapping out a drysuit inflator valve on my Kirby Morgan helmet last night and couldn't figure out why air was still leaking. Turns out I had the clamp rotated 180 degrees and it was pinching the O-ring. Has anyone else spent way too long on something that simple?

Totally been there. Spent two hours hunting a leak on a first stage regulator once. Had the HP seat installed backwards. Felt like a complete idiot. Simple stuff always bites you hardest.
