Noticed more divers using rebreathers for salvage ops. It's changing how we plan dives.

Honestly it feels like every field has that one piece of gear that totally changes the old way of doing things. Like how digital editing changed film or word processors changed writing. Rebreathers doing that for dive planning is just the underwater version of that same story, where the new tool makes the old rules and time tables kinda pointless.

Yeah, coming from someone who learned on tables and a wristwatch, they pretty much make you feel like a caveman. I was the guy still doing math in the margins of my dive log while everyone else was just... down there. It's hard to go back to counting minutes like pocket change once you've used one.
