Found a cheap 3D printer trick for hazmat storage clips
I got tired of spending $12 each on those plastic clips that hold your helmet lights. Designed my own in Tinkercad and printed 20 for under $2.

Oh man I read something about this exact issue a few weeks back! Someone on a firefighting gear forum said the same thing about those older light models. They had to tweak their file too because the ridge is just a hair narrower. It's wild how something so simple causes so much trouble. Glad you caught it early though otherwise you'd have a dozen useless clips. That 5 percent scaling thing sounds about right from what I remember. Having to mess with the dimensions is annoying but beats paying full price for store bought ones.

Can you share your Tinkercad file? I just broke my last clip and would love to print my own. The store prices are ridiculous for what they are. Your design looks solid. I might tweak it for a tighter fit on my older light model.

Oh actually those clips are designed for the newer models with the wider mounting ridge. The older lights have a slightly narrower channel so you'll need to scale down the width by about 5 percent in Tinkercad before printing. I'll toss the file link up later tonight once I get home from work and double check my dimensions against a caliper measurement.
