Sat in the corner of that new place on 5th for two hours yesterday, just watching.
The barista who remembered everyone's name and drink had a line out the door, while the one just making orders fast was nearly empty. Has anyone else seen a small thing like that totally change a shop's vibe?

My local shop's vibe tanked when they swapped the friendly guy for a fast robot.

Ugh, that's the worst. I mean, speed is fine, but a robot can't remember your usual order or crack a dumb joke. Feels like you're just a barcode then.

Watched my friend's bakery get way busier after she started asking customers about their day. That little bit of talk mattered more than how fast the pastries came out.
