Barista at the Daily Grind on 3rd added cinnamon to my cappuccino without asking
I swear, I just stood there watching her sprinkle it on like it was part of the routine. Didn't ask if I wanted it, didn't mention it on the board. I hate cinnamon in coffee. Who does that? Has anyone else had a barista mess with your drink order without checking?

Is this barista secretly trying to run a cinnamon farm on the side or something? I'd be pretty ticked off too if someone messed with my drink like that. Cinnamon is one of those things that just ruins coffee for me, makes it taste like a candle. Next time, I'd tell her straight up "hey, no cinnamon" before she gets the sprinkle happy. Did you at least get her to remake it or did you just take the L and drink it?

Happened to my friend Sarah at a coffee shop downtown. She ordered a plain black cold brew and the barista decided to toss in vanilla syrup without saying anything. She took one sip and knew something was off, had to ask if they changed the recipe. The barista just shrugged and said "oh yeah, I always add a pump of vanilla to cold brew, makes it better." Sarah was so mad she just left it on the counter and walked out, never went back there again. Some people just think their personal taste is universal and it drives me nuts.
