PSA: Aftermarket igniters made a tough repair doable

I keep hearing that only factory parts are safe for gas range fixes. But I had a case where the original igniter was backordered for weeks. I tried a aftermarket one from a trusted supplier, and it fired right up. The range has been running fine for over a year now. I think we should not rule out good aftermarket options so fast. They can keep appliances running when time is tight. Just test them well before you finish the job.
